life is short, wear whatever

One thing i found about turning 40 is not giving a damn. Pastels with neons, check. Stars, check. The list goes on.

And so you should. I think sometimes everyone runs with the idea of what they think they should be wearing to be in fashion rather than buying what they genuinely like. I remember a time when I would go in a shop and just looked and bought what I liked and not because I'd seen it in a magazine. And it's always good to have a mash up!

Well spoken, Sue! Sure enough these days most of what I genuinely like has more to do with feeling good than with looking good. I find it liberating when I can spend a whole day in my clothes without wishing I could change in leggings/pajamas...at the same time I like a little punchiness in an outfit;)

Love a mash up! And love a star - these trainers are great. Yep, turning 40 has some benefits for sure.

I love these trainers so much-they're cheap ones from topshop called copenhagen. Bought them on a whim after years of never wearing trainers (felt like I was trying to be a kid). And yes, now I feel I'm old enough that you can't confuse me with a student!
